Safety

Gunning Mechanical is committed to safety, training and education for every member of our team. As a premier Pittsburgh mechanical contractor, we ensure that all of our team members have the proper certifications before completing your job.

Safety Practices

All field personnel must successfully complete four to five years of apprenticeship training before moving through other levels of certification. Field and management personnel participate in in-house continuing education and training programs, including rigorous safety training, as well as SMACNA and MCAA training seminars and conferences.

Our Safety Director conducts regular jobsite inspections and is a resource to our field foremen for safety issues, such as job safety analysis or crane and helicopter lifts. Gunning Mechanical adapts to stringent client safety requirements by bridging the client’s safety program to our own, including ICRA, drug testing, background checks, and TWIC cards.
